Interdependence
This series illustrates the mutual interdependence between cattle, horses, working cowboys and dogs from an intimate and pensive point of view on a California ranch. The human-animal bond in the production and working animal populations is mutually reliant in nature and strong. Ranchers develop bonds with the livestock and working ranch dogs under their care. This bond is tied directly to the human capacity for empathy; it allows them to provide the animals with the best quality of life.
